The Process
Paths to QUALITY will:
Identify criteria for four levels of quality for family child care home providers, child care centers, and unlicensed registered ministries. (The four levels require that all programs meet similar criteria, however they have been individually tailored for each specific type of early care and education setting). Require increased training and program implementation for providers as each level is reached, with accreditation as the highest level. Consist of recognition and incentives for providers and programs as they move from one level to the next. Be distributed statewide as a tool parents can use to assist in determining quality measurements of caregivers. Increase the chances that children will be receiving the warm, nurturing, stimulating care they need for optimal development.
