How to Become a PMP
Physicians interested in becoming PMPs will have the opportunity to meet with a health plan representative from either the PrimeStep/PCCM or a Hoosier Healthwise managed care organization (MCO). When a physician decides to enroll as a PMP, he/she is required to sign either a contract Addendum to the IHCP/Medicaid Provider Agreement to enroll in the PrimeStep/PCCM, or a contract with an MCO. Specialists may participate in the PrimeStep/PCCM and/or Hoosier Healthwise MCOs, but may not enroll as PMPs.
