Child Mental Health Wraparound (CMHW) Services
In order to provide the services, Indiana must also propose to the State add a new rule at 405 IAC 5-21.7 to reimburse for Child Mental Health Wraparound (CMHW) Services. The OMPP will reimburse DMHA-approved providers or delivering CMHW services to children, ages six (6) through the age of seventeen (17),who meet specific criteria for eligibility and level of need under the CMS-approved 1915(i) application. The following services will be offered: Wraparound Facilitation; Habilitation; Respite Care; and Family Support and Training for the Unpaid Caregiver. DMHA believes the services will allow the State to better accommodate the needs of children and youth with serious emotional disturbances (SED), resulting in improved patient outcomes and satisfaction, as well as a decrease in out-of-home placements.CMS approved the State Plan Amendment to provide CMHW services on September 25, 2013. However, CMHW services are not available until the State completes the rule promulgation process. DMHA anticipates the program will begin in state fiscal year 2014.
