Governor Daniels appoints Vincennes University trustees

INDIANAPOLIS (December 2, 2005) ? Governor Mitch Daniels announced three appointments to the Vincennes University Board of Trustees. Each appointee will serve a three-year term expiring October 5, 2008.

? John R. ?JR? Gaylor, of Noblesville, is president and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana, Inc. Previously, he was an assistant professor of sociology at Indiana Wesleyan University for eight years. Gaylor is also a member of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee.

? Clarence J. ?Mac? McCormick, III, of Vincennes, is chairman and CEO of Best Way Express, Inc. He also serves as first vice chairman of the American Trucking Association.

? Eric J. ?Rick? Schach, of Newburgh, is vice president of energy delivery for Vectren Utility Holdings, Inc. He also serves as chairman of the 2005 Easter Seals Rehabilitation Board.

In July, the governor appointed Gregg Wong of Syracuse to a one-year term as student trustee.

Anne Emison Wishard, of Indianapolis, was selected by the board at its meeting on August 24, per statute, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Bruce Walkup, who was appointed in 2003 by former Governor Frank O?Bannon. Wishard?s term will expire on October 2, 2006.

The board has 10 gubernatorial appointees and four ex-officio members (the president of Vincennes University and the superintendents of the Vincennes Community School Corporation, South Knox School Corporation, and North Knox School Corporation).
