Governor reappoints David Hadley to IURC

INDIANAPOLIS (December 28, 2005) – Governor Mitch Daniels announced today the reappointment of David Hadley to a four-year term on the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. His current term was set to expire on January 1, 2006.

Prior to his appointment to the Commission, Hadley served as an executive officer for the Indiana AFL-CIO. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and his master’s degree from the University of Evansville. He also received post-graduate training through the United States Department of Labor and the University of Southern Indiana.

Active in the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), Hadley is a member of the Gas Committee, Finance and Technology Committee, the International Committee, and serves as Chairman of the NARUC Clean Coal Technology Partnership with the Department of Energy. He also serves on the Public Advisory Board for the Gas Technology Institute, the Board of Directors for the Organization of Midwest Independent System Operator States, and the Board of Directors for PJM States.

Hadley is from Newburgh, Indiana and has served on the IURC since February 2000. He was originally appointed to the Commission by Governor Frank O’Bannon. Hadley’s new appointment will expire on January 1, 2010.
