Veterans’ Affairs Commission

The Veterans’ Affairs Commission advises the veterans' state service officer in problems concerning the welfare of veterans. It also determines the general administrative policies within the department.

The Kids First Trust Fund Board of Trustees

The Kids First Trust Fund Board of Trustees approves spending for abuse and neglect prevention programs and infant health projects using money raised by Kids First license plates (along with donations and appropriations to the fund). The board is composed of 10 members, four of whom are appointed by the governor.

State Armory Board

Insurance Producer Continuing Education Advisory Council

The Insurance Producer Continuing Education Advisory Council consists of the insurance commissioner and 12 members appointed by the Governor. The Council’s duty is to review and make recommendations to the commissioner with respect to proposed rules regarding continuing education as well as course materials, curriculum, and credentials of instructors of each pre-licensing course of study for which certification by the commissioner is sought.

Retirement Home Guaranty Fund Board of Directors

The fund provides protection of the contractual rights of those under continuing care contracts in retirement homes in the event of insolvency of that continuing care provider.

Housing and Community Development Authority

Through homeownership, rental housing and community development programs, the authority administers financial vehicles and incentives to create affordable housing for rent or purchase as well as supportive facilities. The authority was previously named the Indiana Housing Finance Authority but was changed in accordance with Senate Enrolled Act 578.

Indiana Finance Authority

The IFA takes over all or portions of the responsibilities of the State Office Building Commission, Transportation Finance Authority, Development Finance Authority, Recreational Development Authority and the State Revolving Fund as required by Senate Enrolled Act 578.
