Purchase of 9 acres of woods and wetland in New Albany, near the county’s main commercial corridor.  Although this is the highest populated census tract in Floyd County, it is currently served by only 1 acre of recreation land.  The 9-acre purchase area is part of a 35-acre proposed park which will provide both passive and active recreation opportunities.
