Legacy Projects > Blue River Frontage– Bicentennial Nature Trust Blue River Frontage– Bicentennial Nature Trust

A proposal to acquire 1.33 acres along State Road 9 and adjacent to the Blue River, near downtown Shelbyville.  The site will serve as a trailhead for a trail to be built along the Blue River, connecting several city parks and the county fairgrounds.  This project included a $100,000 matching grant from the local Community Foundation.
