Legacy Projects > Peoria & Eastern RR Corridor – Bicentennial Nature Trust Peoria & Eastern RR Corridor – Bicentennial Nature Trust

Purchase of two parcels totaling approximately 4 acres in the Town of Speedway.  The acquisition will provide a 1-acre trail head with an existing paved parking lot, and secure 1/3<sup>rd</sup> mile of the former Peoria &amp; Eastern Railroad corridor.  The acquired property builds upon the trail corridor already purchased with BNT assistance (announced by Gov. Pence in June , and provides a connection to the Eagle Creek Trail now under development by the City of Indianapolis.  This is the second BNT project in Marion County.
