Legacy Projects > Historical Sites and Cultural Groups in Marshall County Historical Sites and Cultural Groups in Marshall County

Since 1976 when the first property in Marshall County was listed to the National Register of Historic Places, a few organizations including Wythougan Valley Preservation Council and the Antiquarian and Historical Society of Culver, have completed extensive work listing several of Marshall County’s important sites to the National Register.

For Indiana’s bicentennial, the project will be a complete listing of all eligible historic sites in Marshall County to the National Register of Historic Places for a comprehensive inclusion in a publication and driving tour of the county. The publication/tour will also highlight several cultural and ethnic groups who settled in Marshall County whose stories have not been included in county history books such as the Amish, Swedish, Latino and African American populations.
