Legacy Projects > Discover Owen County: A Geocaching Adventure Discover Owen County: A Geocaching Adventure

Discover the hidden history and natural wonders of Owen County – the hi-tech way! Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigation techniques to hide and seek containers, called caches, anywhere in the world. Thirteen unique and easily obtainable sites have been targeted in Owen County. Each cache will have a letter and traceable Geocoin. Collect the letters to solve the puzzle and earn a commemorative prize. Geocaching is a great family activity and a fun way to celebrate the Bicentennial of Owen County.
