Legacy Projects > The Clark County Museum, Inc. Gallery Opening & Dedication The Clark County Museum, Inc. Gallery Opening & Dedication

In recognition of Indiana’s 200th birthday, the Clark County Museum gallery will be dedicated as part of Indiana’s 2016 Bicentennial Celebration. Since its founding in 1801, there has not been a county museum to tell of our exploration, settlement, ingenuity and initiative that make us, arguably, the most historic of Indiana’s counties. Future exhibits include: Ohio River, U.S. Army, invention and industry, steamboat and rail, architecture, Civil War, Underground Railroad, gambling, politics, etc. Two hundred fourteen years of stories are waiting to be told! Members of the state Bicentennial Commission and local dignitaries are invited to attend the reception and unveiling of a special plaque modeled after the Indiana Bicentennial logo.
