Legacy Projects > Bicentennial Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival Bicentennial Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival

The Turkey Trot Festival held in Montgomery, IN has been celebrating our history since its inception in 1972. Indiana is the third highest producer of turkeys in the United States and Daviess County contributes a large amount to this success. The Turkey Trot is a four day event held each year the weekend after Labor Day. It’s activities range from rides, turkey races, bingo, tractor and truck pulls, mud volleyball, free throw contests, track contests, corn hole, flea markets, crafts, pig wrestling, demo derby, live music and food! The Turkey Trot is a function of the Montgomery Indiana Ruritan club and their goal is to promote community service not only in Montgomery but in Daviess County.
