Legacy Projects > Marshall County Cemetery Signage and Brochure Project Marshall County Cemetery Signage and Brochure Project

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Cemetery Registration Division, there are 74 cemeteries in Marshall County. Slightly more than half were marked in any way with a name and date of establishment. The purpose of the project was to create a better and more efficient way to find and commemorate the many nearly forgotten burial places in the county. At present, 42 signs have been places, with more to follow. The companion project created a series of brochures, organized by township, listing all of the County’s cemeteries with brief descriptions of each, featuring easy to read township maps with corresponding notations. The cemetery map brochures have been completed and are available through the Marshall County Museum.
