'It started out like any other day for Anna and Bobby. It was cold and fierce Indiana winds hit the sides of the school building. The ground was covered with a blanket of pure white snow. Yet, what made this day so particularly special for Anna and Bobby was that it was December 11th, their birthday. What Anna and Bobby had yet to realize was that December 11th wasn't only their birthday. Something else shared their birthday... Something very close to home.'

The children's book, The Gifts of Indiana: A Tale of Three Birthdays and One Grand Adventure, is the collaborative effort of Butler University students representing the College of Education, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and College of Business. With release in Spring 2015, this illustrated chapter book highlights the impact 14 Hoosiers have had Indiana, both in their day and the present. Alongside Anna and Bobby, children of today's Indiana can learn how to leave a legacy on their community and appreciate the gifts we all have as Hoosiers.

Book presale is now open at the Gifts of Indiana website for $10 per copy or $200 for a 25-copy classroom set. (Buy the book here.)
