photo 1

Thousands of Steuben County’s citizens participate in the City of Angola’s Independence Day festivities. The day begins with a flurry of activity as local individuals, organizations and businesses gather to participate in the annual Independence Day parade. The parade travels through Downtown Commercial Historic District listed in the National Register of Historic Places and around Soldiers’ Monument. With the ending of the parade, festivities including music, food and activities begin at the city’s 100+ Common Park and culminate in a spectacular display of fireworks

Just as the 4th of July will celebrate 240 years as the United States of America, “We the People” of Angola and Indiana will celebrate Indiana’s place in this nation’s history.
