Legacy Projects > Bicentennial Hat Making Bicentennial Hat Making

As part of its 2015 Heritage Arts series, the Bartholomew County Historical Society will be presenting a Bicentennial Hat Making class on October 3rd, 2015. Buckram hat forms will be provided and guests will bring their own fabric and trimmings. Participants will be taught how to cover and decorate their poke bonnets while learning Indiana fashion history. The class will be lead by renowned historic hat maker BeaAnn Reid. Several staff members will also be in attendance to assist guests. The class is available to anyone 18 years and older.
