Legacy Projects > Nature Day at Limberlost Nature Day at Limberlost

The day begins with a birding field trip to Limberlost Swamp Wetland Preserve with staff and volunteers. Lectures on Birds of the Limberlost, Gene Stratton-Porter, restoration of the wetlands, Limberlost Birding App, Flora and Fauna of the Limberlost will all be presented. Speakers include Tom Swinford, Assistant Director of Nature Preserves, Randy Lehman, Site Manager of Limberlost SHS, Alexandra Forsythe and Scott Forsyth. Nature Day is meant to teach and inspire people about Limberlost and Gene Stratton-Porter. We hope to encourage Hoosiers to read Gene’s books and to explore the nature at Limberlost.
