Legacy Projects > Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social Featuring Vintage Bicycles Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social Featuring Vintage Bicycles

This event will focus on the history of one of the oldest African American schools left standing in the state (1885-1946). The entire community will be invited to the event and all 4th graders who attend a day of school at Division Street will be targeted with a special invitation. Ice cream and cookies will be served in the yard under tents. The will be special visitors from the Kentucky Wheelmen club riding vintage bicycles and giving an explanation (in program format) of the goals of education and encouragement to ride bicycles.
