Step back in time to a living history commemorating the Civil War. On September 9th & 10th, 2016 the grounds of the beautiful and historic Spencer County Courthouse located in the little river town on the bluff of Rockport Indiana, comes alive! Encampment/re-enactors, period vendors & demonstrations will highlight this weekend of remembrance.

Friday evening will showcase a street dance hoe-down, free admission. Easy to learn dances will be taught during the evening and refreshments available. Saturday will exhibit life during the Civil War era. The day’s activities will conclude with the Friends of the Lincoln Pioneer Village 8th annual Civil War Ball in the Grand Rotunda of the Courthouse. Advanced reservations are required.
