Legacy Projects > Indian Boundary Line Mural Indian Boundary Line Mural

In September of 1809, the United States government created the Treaty of Ft. Wayne, IN. The boundary was twelve miles wide creating a boundary line through Fayette County with the help of John Conner, the city’s founder. A mural will depict the outline of the state; the newly formed Fayette County, John Conner working with the Delaware, Pottawattamie, Miami and Eel River tribes trading post and documents from President James Madison. The mural will be hung on the north wall of the Fayette County Foundation’s building on Central Ave., downtown Connersville.
