Legacy Projects > Bicentennial Trail Bicentennial Trail

The Bicentennial Trail will connect the Avon and Brownsburg trail systems by constructing a one mile segment between the two towns with approximately 50% of the trail in each community. The Bicentennial trail will connect to the B & O trail that runs east and west between the two towns. Design is scheduled for 2015 with construction to begin in 2016.

Q&A with Legacy Project Coordinator Tom Klein

  • Working with Brownsburg to partner on the financing of the trail between the two towns. Project will start in spring of '17.

Describe a highlight or most memorable moment related to your Legacy Project.

  • Town Council approval to pay for trail. It was a new project in our capital plan, so we had to finance funds to pay for it.
