Legacy Projects > Blossom and the BISONtennial Book Blossom and the BISONtennial Book

Blossom and the BISONtennial is a book that will illustrate some basic facts of Indiana at a level that young children will enjoy and understand. It ties together reading from our early childhood initiative and the Bison which will be in our county. Additionally, all kindergarten and preschool students will receive their own copy of the book.

What do you consider the key accomplishment of your Legacy Project?

  • Educational reading for children through our mascot, Blossom.

Describe a highlight or most memorable moment related to your Legacy Project.

  • Reading to children in preschools and kindergartens is always great - but hearing from parents about how excited their child was is always especially heartwarming.

How/where are you preserving information and artifacts related to your Legacy Project?

  • Books are available at the United Way office. If you would like a copy for your archives, please write and let us know and we will be happy to send some to you.
