Legacy Projects > Hoosier Hikers Council 200 Mile Bicentennial Hikers Challenge Hoosier Hikers Council 200 Mile Bicentennial Hikers Challenge

To celebrate Indiana’s 200th year as a state, Hoosier Hikers Council challenges hikers to hike 200 miles on natural surface hiking trails throughout central and southern Indiana. Hikers must complete at least 10 of the 50 plus listed hiking trails on Hoosier Hikers Council website, www.hoosierhikerscouncil.org. These trails may be repeated to obtain the required mileage. After completion, hikers will receive a free Indiana Bicentennial Hikers patch and certificate along with their listing of completion on HHC’s website. While completion should take place in 2016, we will allow carry over to 2017 in order to complete this exciting task. Hikers will have a log sheet to fill out for any trail completed; data will include trail name, place, mileage and data. When completed, the log sheet must be sent to Hoosier Hikers Council for verification. Registration and information can be found on HHC’s website.
