The South Shore Line holds a special place in the hearts of residents of Northern Indiana. It’s known for its iconic logo, memorable colors and vintage posters, but also for its important role in the economic and cultural development of the region. It’s called the “Nation’s Last Interurban”, but for many it is the way to get to work in one of the world’s most prominent cities while still maintaining Hoosier ties. This hour long documentary celebrates the line’s colorful history and the important role it plays today.
