Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Amber Alert - TEST

Legacy Projects > James Whitcomb Riley Literacy Remembrance James Whitcomb Riley Literacy Remembrance

The James Whitcomb Riley Literacy Remembrance project will be celebrated during the 2016 Riley Festival. We will advertise and ask all attendees to donate books for local school children in remembrance of our hometown hero James Whitcomb Riley. We will have gathering stations at each entrance and in the center of the Festival activities for collection of the new children’s books. We feel like this project celebrates our hometown legacy of James Whitcomb Riley and will instill literacy appreciation of our future Hancock County citizens, both by receiving and giving of these books.
