Legacy Projects > Indiana Bicentennial Symbols & Emblems Project Indiana Bicentennial Symbols & Emblems Project

The “Indiana Bicentennial Symbols and Emblems” project is a year-long adventure during which the staff and patrons of the Avon-Washington Township Public Library will explore the meaning of the symbols and emblems of Indiana. This adventure will combine programs, events, displays, and interactive games. All activities will include historical information, photographs of the featured symbol or emblem, and fun ways for the public to identify with them. The displays will be preserved using PowerPoint and will be made available on the Library’s website after the Bicentennial celebration concludes in late 2016.
