Legacy Projects > Birding at Fox Island Birding at Fox Island

Stockbridge Audubon Society board of directors wanted to give a Bicentennial gift to Fox Island County Park. Environmental educator Natalie Haley said that binoculars were on their wish list for their birding program. A good pair of binoculars can make the difference between seeing or not seeing a bird. Many young people do not own their own pair of binoculars, but might wish to attend the birding program at Fox Island. Stockbridge donated four pairs of binoculars on January 2, 2016, the same day we kicked off the new national SW Allen County Christmas Bird Count in which Fox Island Park was included.
