Remarkable Women of Indiana: the Business of Being Remarkable celebrates her Hoosier story by highlighting the achievements and contributions notable Indiana women have made to the state’s history. Through lectures from history experts and educational demonstrations, this day-long event gives visitors to the Indiana State Museum a glimpse into the many unsung heroes of Hoosier history. Celebrating women like Gene Stratton Porter, Catharine Coffin, Frances Golden, Blanche Culberson, Madame C.J. Walker, and others creates a legacy of achievement for Hoosier women today. Additionally, the event will feature a performance from Freetown Village about Madame C.J. Walker and a keynote speaker from the Indiana business community.
