Legacy Projects > 2016 Cass County 4-H Fair 2016 Cass County 4-H Fair

The Cass County 4-H fair is a week-long summer event that highlights and celebrates accomplishment of the community, particularly youth.  During the 2016 fair, the Fair Board of Directors plans to promote activities that celebrate 200 years of statehood.  Activities will highlight  Indiana history through such things as an ice cream cranking contest, quilt making with blocks submitted by all of the county 4-H clubs, opportunities to try milking a goat by hand, and our forebears did,  wool spinning demonstrations, horse shoeing, blacksmithing, and a photo exhibit of the history of the Cass County fair through history.  For children, each day a “story time at the fair” will highlight a different animal or agricultural product for kids from preschool through 2nd grade, and they will be shown how animals were raised and produced in the past and how they are now.
