Legacy Projects > Celebrating Indiana’s 200th Birthday on the Pumpkin Trail Celebrating Indiana’s 200th Birthday on the Pumpkin Trail

The Fremont Public Library will celebrate Indiana’s 200th birthday on the Pumpkin Trail this fall. Our Trail invites local children and their families to an evening of fun. The Trail stations, located along the Nature path in Vistula Park, will focus on Indiana history and celebrities such as Garfield, Clifford the Red Dog, Chief Pokagon, Little Abe Lincoln, Mad Anthony Wayne, Johnny Appleseed. We’ll also highlight some Indiana mainstays like our woodland animals, Indy 500, Hoosier basketball and maybe a few rival football teams—all made from pumpkins!
