Legacy Projects > Dedication Day of Waupecong’s Lost Cemetery Dedication Day of Waupecong’s Lost Cemetery

Dedication Day of Waupecong’s Lost Cemetery will take place on October 15, celebrating the lives of those who first came here to live and labor in the fields and towns across our lands. Settlers of the 1840s came to the Waupecong area from different continents and countries, from other states and the next counties. What they all had in common was the land that they cleared, settled and lived upon, and where they would be buried. What better time than during our Indiana’s Bicentennial celebration than to dedicate a cemetery monument to those who were laid to rest there?
