Legacy Projects > Celebrating Indiana's Points of Interest Celebrating Indiana's Points of Interest

From September through December 11, 2016, members of Indiana DAR chapters will be taking pictures of historical sites, buildings, and scenes in their Indiana communities. Photos may be submitted to the state contest for judging. The top 12 will be recognized at next year’s DAR state conference. The photos will be on public display, and submitted photos will be used in future years to promote Indiana, Indiana tourism, and Indiana’s rich history as we begin our next 100 years.

What do you consider the key accomplishment of your Legacy Project?

  • Submission of more than forty photographs from around the state of Indiana.

How/where are you preserving information and artifacts related to your Legacy Project?

  • Twelve photos will be selected to be displayed at DAR State Conference in May. Will
    be shared with eighty-seven chapters. Photographs will be used in calendars, note
    cards, etc.
