Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > Judge William Polke Gravemarker Dedication Ceremony Judge William Polke Gravemarker Dedication Ceremony

This event is a celebration of the finding of documentation to prove the location of the grave of Judge William Polke, who helped formulate and then sign the first Indiana state constitution.  The newly installed headstone on the formerly unmarked grave will be dedicated. William Polke’s gravesite was located in 2016 as part of the Indiana Archives and Administration research of constitution signers, and we are celebrating this finding with the installation of a headstone marking the location in MucCulloch Park, Ft. Wayne.
