Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > Hoosier Women at Work: A Special Issue of the Indiana Magazine of History Hoosier Women at Work: A Special Issue of the Indiana Magazine of History

The Indiana Magazine of History is a 112-year-old peer-reviewed journal of Indiana and Midwestern history, published by the History Department of Indiana University, Bloomington. Our December 2016 bicentennial issue offers four articles based upon papers delivered at the Hoosier Women at Work conference, held in March 2016 at IUPUI. Topics include a history of wage-earning Hoosier women, the life and work of Indianapolis philanthropist and social reformer Evaline Holliday, and the training of black nurses in Indianapolis. Issues are available for sale through the editorial office (812-856-5394); digital access is available through libraries subscribing to the JSTOR Current Scholarship Program.
