Under the guidance of Executive Director Jamal L. Smith, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission is launching a statewide community outreach campaign beginning in late October 2010.
The Indiana Civil Rights Commission's major purpose is to eliminate discrimination in the state of Indiana. To do this, ICRC staff will travel throughout the state to speak at schools, community events, public meetings and other events to get their message directly to Indiana residents.
The appointment of a communications specialist and outreach director will help to spearhead the effort and to fight for the civil rights of each Indiana resident.
Updated training materials, an overhaul of the ICRC website and agency forms provide the necessary re-branding The Commission desperately needs.
Look for updates to the website for more information regarding the upcoming community outreach efforts.
