TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Free food, prizes and information on landlord/tenant rights, housing discrimination and health/safety concerns will be provided at the Healthy Homes Summit Dec. 5, 2013 at Greenwood Manor Apartments in Terre Haute. The event, which is presented by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, starts at 6:00 pm and will provide Vigo County residents valuable information and resources regarding their housing rights.

“It is important that we reach every corner of the state in our education and outreach efforts,” said Jamal L. Smith, Executive Director of the ICRC. “We want to ensure that people in the community are aware of what services are available to them.”

Joining the Indiana Civil Rights Commission to put on the Healthy Homes Summit is the City of Terre Haute Human Relations Commission and the Indiana State Department of Health. For more information about the program, call Ava Y. Taylor, Public Outreach and Events Manager, at (317) 232-2641.
