Dean named Executive Director of State's Hispanic Commission

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) announced today the hiring of Danielle M. Dean as the Executive Director of the Indiana Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs (ICHLA). Dean joins the ICRC after serving as a press secretary at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

"Danielle’s experience and passion for the Hispanic/Latino community will be an asset to the ICRC executive team and ICHLA," said Brad Meadows, Deputy Director of the ICRC. "I look forward to working with her on issues related to education, equal access and other issues unique to the community."

As the Executive Director of ICHLA, Dean is responsible for researching challenges and developing solutions to issues affecting the Hispanic/Latino community. Dean began her duties with the ICRC on July 7, 2014.

ICHLA is a non-partisan state agency working toward economic, educational, and social equality, including promoting cooperation and understanding. The Commission identifies, measures and reviews programs, legislation and researches challenges and opportunities affecting the Hispanic/Latino community.
