Who: The Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention
What: For the past twelve years, the Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners) have sponsored a statewide pollution prevention conference and trade show. Conference topics have ranged from new and innovative pollution prevention technologies being used in Indiana to training on how pollution prevention can save facilities money. The conference also includes a trade show of over 20 exhibitors displaying their products and services to promote pollution prevention.
Theme: Pollution Prevention Basics: The Road to Cost Savings
When: Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Time: Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
Where: Primo's West, Plainfield, Indiana (directions)
Why: Pollution prevention as a mechanism to save money is the cornerstone of this year's conference. This is a great year to bring someone from upper management, maintenance, or the manufacturing team! Many sessions will tie pollution prevention projects to monetary benefits. Other sessions include EPA Climate Leaders Partnership, renewable energy initiatives and wastewater pollution prevention techniques.

Governor's Awards Presentations
The Indiana Pollution Prevention Conference & Trade Show is honored to be hosting the Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence presentations this year. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), in cooperation with the Lieutenant Governor's Office of Energy and Defense Development, the Indiana Department of Administration, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, presents the recipients for the Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence each year.
