Indiana Department of Environmental Management

Land Quality

If you or your business generates, handles, transports, processes or disposes of regulated solid, non-hazardous or hazardous waste in Indiana, you'll need to work with IDEM to make sure you have the correct permits or registrations. The Office of Land Quality portion of the Permit Guide is designed to help business owners and operators, and members of the general public gain a better understanding of the solid and hazardous waste permitting and approval programs that help protect Hoosiers and our land resources. IDEM staff members are available to answer questions and meet with you, upon request, concerning approval requirements. As you review the information in the guide, you’ll find links to additional information and staff contacts. Do not hesitate to contact us for additional assistance.
