Southeastern Indiana Water Supply Study

In an effort to promote sustainable water use and economic growth across the state, the Indiana Finance Authority has commissioned a study of water resources across 14 counties in southeast Indiana.  The study was proposed in response to Senate Enrolled Act 416 and will assess the region’s current water supply, future demand, as well as the costs of infrastructure needed to meet that demand.

The study area encompasses the following counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Decatur, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Johnson, Ripley, Scott, Shelby, and Washington
