The Indiana Guard Reserve Association, Inc. was incorporated on December 17th, 1992 to provide IGR retirees venues to meet in fellowship and foster continuing esprit de corps. Its mission has since expanded to include providing support to active members, retired members and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
TIGRA meets regularly at various locations in the central Indiana area. More information on meeting dates or other activities of TIGRA will be sent to all active and retired members of the Indiana Guard Reserve.
TIGRA decorations that are allowed to be worn by Indiana Guard Reserve soldiers meeting requirements can be found in JFHQINIGR Reg 104, Chapter 10 Section 1, Awards and Decorations.
Recently, a new medal is available to complement the current ribbon. Contact CSM Coe at James.Coe@igr.IN.gov for more information about joining TIGRA and the new medal.
One of the ways TIGRA members serve is by helping preserve the history of the IGR. You can order a copy of “The Indiana Guard Reserve” book written by COL Felix E. Goodson (ret) by ordering on the form below.
TIGRA’s membership year is from July 1 to June 30. Annual dues are $10.00. The Indiana Guard Reserve Book, soft cover edition, is available for $10.00, including shipping and handling. Lifetime memberships are also available for $100.00 Lifetime members will receive the TIGRA ribbon and a gold star to be worn on that ribbon. Membership cards and ribbons will be sent to all new members.
