Homeownership has long been the cornerstone of the American dream, representing more than just shelter but an enduring symbol of achieving prosperity. Unfortunately, according to the latest data from the United States Census Bureau, the percentage of homeowners in the United States has fallen to a 19-year low at just 63.5%. The percentage in Indiana remains well above the nationwide average at 70.5%.

IHCDA, chaired by Lt. Governor Holcomb, provides housing opportunities, promotes self-sufficiency and strengthens communities in order to build an Indiana with a sustainable quality of life for all Hoosiers in the community of their choice.
