The Economic Opportunity Division invites you to participate in a three-hour workshop on INDOT’s Title VI Program and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. We are offering these workshops free of charge throughout the year.
The Title VI component will include an overview of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) and its related laws, a description of the Title VI compliance requirements, and explanation of the Title VI enforcement procedures. If you attend one of the scheduled Title VI workshops, you will fulfill the training component of Title VI compliance, which is required of all of entities receiving federal dollars from INDOT.
The DBE component will include an overview of the Commercially Useful Function (CUF) requirements of the DBE program and explain what INDOT looks for when conducting its CUF reviews. This workshop is essential to understanding how to properly credit DBE participation on INDOT contracts and ensure compliance with the DBE program.
DBE & Title VI Training Schedule
The target audience are contractors, subcontractors, professional consultants and any personnel with civil rights responsibilities such as planning, contract administration, legal, environmental services, safety, right of way, relocation, and research who has not recently attended a workshop. You may register online at http://www.in.gov/indot/2751.htm for any 2016 Title VI training session.
