Project Success Center

The IOT Project Success Center mission is to Organize, Execute and Deliver a quality product or service for the State of Indiana utilizing industry best practices and a structured framework

Our goals are three-fold

  1. Project Management Center of Excellence: Develop a common framework to provide transparency and project delivery predictability
  2. Project Status and Health Reporting: Develop a standard approach for monitoring the health and managing the risks of IT projects with value greater than $1 million
  3. Common Project Management Approach for Vendors: Establish guidelines to include in Request for Proposals (RFP) and contracts to reduce risk on large technology projects by ensuring vendors employ project management best practices.

Where to Start

Check out the Start a Project page to find what you need to request a project, understand the IOT Project Management Framework and everything else to successfully deliver your project.

About Projects at IOT

All IOT projects start with a Project Request. Once the project has been reviewed by the Project Success Center, a Project Classification Assessment will determine the next course of action. The project’s complexity determines what is required from a  project management standpoint.

Basic level projects (typically under $50,000 with little impact/risk) will require little or no project management, while those with increasing complexity will require increasing project oversight. While the Project Success Center staffs project managers to assist with this oversight, anyone within IOT can fulfill the project manager role. The framework can be tailored to meet the unique needs of every project. The Project Success Center will maintain a set of tools and templates in the PM Toolkit and identify which tools are required and suggested to ensure projects are properly managed to maximize chances of success.

Organize. Execute. Deliver.
