Amy Christine Richison

Amy Christine Richison has served as the Prosecuting Attorney for Huntington County since January 1, 2007.  She graduated from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington in 1996.  Upon graduation She became a deputy prosecutor in Johnson County, and in late 1997 she was appointed to the position of chief deputy prosecutor in Huntington County.  She served as the chief deputy prosecutor for 10 years until she was elected to the position of prosecuting attorney for Huntington County.

During Prosecutor Richison’s career in the Huntington County Prosecutor’s Office she has focused her time advocating for children who have been victims of abuse.  In 2010 the prosecutor and Cynthia Wehr were jointly presented with the Hope Award for child advocacy from the YWCA for their efforts to create a child advocacy center in Huntington County, known as McKenzie’s Hope.  She received national recognition for her work to protect children in 2011 and was named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Americans by the United States Junior Chamber.  In 2012 she received the Ronald E. Mitchell award from the Huntington County Child Protection Team for her dedication to protecting children in Huntington County.

Prosecutor Richison lives in Huntington County with her husband, Rod, and her five children.
