CTE Awareness Initiative Grant
The Indiana Works Councils awarded $65,000 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Awareness grants to ten Regional Works Councils to bolster awareness of local career and technical education efforts. The purpose of this grant application is to provide each council with the opportunity to fund a CTE Awareness project as well as a secondary project; both must address issues that each council uncovered in its initial evaluation of CTE opportunities within its respective region.

The Region 9 grant will:
Produce promotional and communication projects about skilled trades utilizing Eco 15 and Dream It Do It Champion network from June 2014 to June 2015
Develop a regional video highlighting industry and business partners from June 2014 to June 2015
Research the disconnect between students, parents schools, and CTE from June 2014 to June 2015
