A training team has been formed consisting of the Indiana State Department of Health, the Department of Education, Family and Social Services Administration, and Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Several trainings have been provided statewide to business groups, legislators, and service providers.

We are in the process of forming a training panel, which will focus on community-based models. The purpose is to train and facilitate local communities with successful community-based practices. The following are links to PowerPoint slide shows, which may be useful for training or educational purposes:

Categories of Training:

  • Breastfeeding
  • 5 a Day
  • Farmer's Market
  • Healthy Vending/Snack Bar Selection
  • New Food Pyramid
  • Gestational Weight Gain Management

The CNOP is currently compiling results of a health system development survey. The purpose of this survey is to identify needs for training in specific areas. Results will be posted once the surveys are analyzed.
