Approval for one hour of FREE Continuing Professional Education credit has been requested. Ask your DNPA Proctor for the forms needed to receive credit.

Additional Information about Continuing Professional Education Credit:
Approval for one hour of free Continuing Professional Education credit has been requested for registered dietitians. Registered dietitians can obtain 1 hour of continuing education credit by attending the DNPA teleconference call and filing the certificate of attendance and the program announcement in the Professional Development Portfolio (PDP) Learning Activities Log. CDR will no longer record Continuing Professional Education units (CPEUs).

In addition, nurses and certified health education specialists can obtain continuing education credits by attending the DNPA teleconference calls and submitting a copy of the completed evaluation form and other required information (varies by organization) to the individual organization.

For example, the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) allows CHES to apply for Category II credits.

A Category II activity is not pre-approved by NCHEC.

Up to 30 CECH can be earned by participating in quality activities that relate to at least one of the seven areas of responsibility for CHES, but were not approved in advance by NCHEC.

*This is just a reminder. Please contact your association for more details on how to apply for continuing education credits.

To apply for Category II CECH, you must complete the Category II Claim Form within 90 days following completion of an event. Claim Form.
