FUNDED INTERVENTIONS:

CLEAR:  CLEAR is intensive, individualized, client-centered counseling for adopting and maintaining HIV risk-reduction behaviors for HIV positive individuals who continue high-risk behaviors, discordant couples, and HIV negative individuals that engage in high-risk behaviors.

OUTREACH TESTING:  Outreach Testing funding calls for an individual level intervention which will ensure that that persons at increased risk for HIV and HCV are properly screened and tested. Furthermore, those found to be infected shall be immediately linked into the existing system of care.

PrEP/ART:   PrEP is a new HIV prevention approach where HIV-negative individuals use HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) medications to reduce their risk of becoming infected if they are exposed to the virus. The medications work to prevent HIV from establishing infection inside the body.

HARM REDUCTION:  The grantee will provide Harm Reduction services. This funding calls for implementing harm reduction strategies which will target individuals engaging in high risk behaviors including, but not limited to unsafe sex practices and injection drug use. Program participants will have access to items and education to help them reduce the risk of harm to themselves or others as a result of their behaviors.
